Row-athon 2017!

For this year's Red Nose Day, the staff and children of Stoke Lodge took on another of our 24 hour challenges. This year we completed a 24-hour Rowathon! Staff and children rowed all day and all through through the night to complete a tremendous 1284 miles.... We rowed to Rome!!

A huge thank you for all of your support and donations which helped us reach our target of £1000! Overall we raised a total of £1115.14. The money raised will help to change lives across the UK and Africa.

Following an assembly from the NSPCC, the children all took part in a sponsored walk.  With no regard for the weather, wellie boots on, off they all went.  The older year groups walked to the duck pond in Bradley Stoke and beyond while the younger year groups stayed in the school grounds.  £1644 has been raised for the NSPCC so far.  What a fantastic result!

 Children in Need 2016!

The children came to school in non-uniform for a small donation and this raised an amazing £386.38 which was sent off to help children all over the world.

Dancethon 2016!

What a Dance-athon success we had at Stoke Lodge Primary!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the different dance events and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all the staff.  Dancing continued for 24 hours – staff were turning up at all times during the night to help support each other and work their dance moves!

Just a few trivial statistics from Mrs Lansdown:

  • Hours danced: 24
  • Hokey Cokey danced: 8 times
  • Conga-ed – too many times
  • Pizza Hutted – 10 ten times
  • Calories burned (PM session, Floodlit Disco, Wake n’ Shake, Playtime, 30 min session and PM finale) = 1.969

We are very proud of everyone who took part and would like to thank you all for your kind donations.  The money raised will help to transform people's lives across the UK and the world's poorest communities.
